Rachael Weingarten is an equity-driven educational leader with more than 20 years of experience building high-performing schools and systems that serve historically underserved communities. Beginning her career as an elementary teacher in Tucson, Detroit, and Los Angeles, she has dedicated her work to ensuring that a child’s zip code never determines their future. As the founding Principal of Caliber: ChangeMakers Academy and later Chief Schools Officer at Caliber Public Schools, Rachael led transformational academic outcomes while building the systems, leadership pipelines, and instructional coherence needed to sustain excellence across schools. Her expertise spans instructional design, instructional leadership development, and principal coaching, including the creation of a Principal-in-Training program to cultivate future school leaders. As Partner in Instruction at the Bay Ed Fund, Rachael supports instructional strategy and student outcomes across partner communities, helping schools implement high-quality, evidence-based practices that advance educational equity and create lasting impact for students.
