Community Partnerships
Sunnyvale
This fall, we are kicking off work in our fourth district community, Sunnyvale Elementary School District (SESD) — starting with making their bold vision for student success, the Sunnyvale Promise, real and relevant for all.
A few years ago, the Sunnyvale community created the Sunnyvale Promise, a vision for what every student in our schools deserves.
This year, under the leadership of new Superintendent, Dr. Gudiel Crosthwaite, the community is working to shape Sunnyvale 2030 – not by writing a new plan, but by making the one they have clearer, stronger, and more inclusive. As they say, “We’re Not Starting Over. We’re Making It Real.”

2. What’s Next for SESD?
Investments in Family and District Leadership

On-the-Ground Instructional Support
The Bay Ed Fund provides implementation support through funding, change management coaching, and best-in-class partner organizations that build and deepen instructional capacity and support rigorous and competitive student learning.
To foster a culture of learning and accountability, the Bay Ed Fund supports families, district leaders, and community members in analyzing data, reflecting on setbacks, and sharpening their focus on a clear set of goals.
